The assault caused the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
